They're Multiplyin'
JUST THE FACTS!
This week we will continue working on the 3x facts. Please practice these facts with your first grade mathematician each afternoon or evening. They will need to complete 25 facts in 2 1/2 minutes for their assessment Friday.
Remember to keep practicing all previous learned facts: addition facts 0+0 through 9+9, subtracting 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 facts, and 5x multiplication facts. There will be a subtraction review assessment NEXT Monday, May 4. Students will need to complete 100 subtraction review facts in 6 minutes.

HOW CAN WE PRACTICE???
Practice skip counting by 5's from 0-50 and from 50-0, by 2's from 0-20 and 20-0, and by 3's from 0-30 and 30-0. The more familiar the first graders are with the multiples of the number, the quicker and easier multiplication will be!
Practice while getting ready in the morning and/or getting ready for bed. Practice in the car on your way to and from school. Any time you have a few seconds - practice skip counting. The 5x and 2x facts haven't been too challenging. The 3x and 4x facts tend to be a bit more difficult.
