Recurring information

Logans Lane

We have confirmation that Logans Lane is a private drive. Parents are asked not to turn left to exit Mote's parking lot unless you live on Logans Lane. Thank you for your cooperation.

Counseling Corner

Please click the attachment below to meet our two school counselors and learn about the services they provide to Mote staff and students.

Dismissal

Dismissal is a busy time for staff and students. Our only priority is making sure students make it home safely. Here is how you can help:

  • All changes to your child's dismissal should be communicated in writing. Phone calls are only for last minute emergency changes and should be made by 3:15 pm.
  • When possible, allow for your child to enter and exit on the rear passenger side. If not possible, your child is asked to cross in front of your car, not the rear.
  • Parents should remain in their car during car line. Mote staff is not permitted to buckle your child in. If your child needs assistance, move to the past the crosswalk in car line and you may get out at that point to buckle in your child.
  • Dismissal is not a time for parent conferences with staff. We are happy to work with you on a method of weekly or daily communication.

Thank you for helping us to keep dismissal running smoothly.

Car Line

All parents need to go through the carline for the safety of our students and staff members. There are too many parents parking and crossing the parking lot with their children. Our car line is designed to run efficiently to reduce time waiting to drop off students. Parents, please stay in your car for car line. A staff member will assist the students getting out of the car. . Please limit parking for parents who need to come into the office. . No students should be dropped off and expected to cross the parking lot on their own. This is not safe.

If you did not pick up a car number for the 2022-2023 school year, please come into the office during the hours of 9-3 to pick up a new car number.

All cars must have a car number displayed in the windshield for afternoon dismissal. If you do not have a car number, you will have to come into the office to sign out your child. The doors are closed from 3:15-4:00.
