Family Literacy Night
Thursday, November 16th, popular children's book author Gary Hogg is coming to our school! Come "Laugh It Up" as Gary Hogg performs in our library from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.
Please join us for a fun evening of games, prizes, reading, and writing. We will be serving hotdogs, chips, cookies, and milk, free to all who participate. Dinner will be served 5:00 PM-6:00 PM in the cafeteria. Events will begin at 5:30 PM and run until 7:00 PM.
COOKIE DOUGH DELIVERY
Our Cookie Dough fundraiser was a BIG success! Thank you for your generous support, which ensures field trips, special assemblies, and other great opportunities for our students. Cookie Dough will be delivered on Thursday, November 16th, 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. You can pick up your cookie dough in the gym beginning at 4:00 PM, and please consider staying for Family Literacy Night.
Box Tops For Education
Please continue to collect your box tops and send them to school with your children. This program helps add a big amount of money to our student programs. Every month the class who turns in the most box tops will receive a treat!
Mayor Davis visit's Jefferson
As part of Walktoberfest, Mayor Davis challenges Jefferson students as he walks laps around the walking track at lunchtime with our students. This is a statewide program to earn funds for schools. Mayor's across the state are competing with each other. Parents are welcome to join along!
Mrs. Perry's PE Corner
Since the second week of school, Mrs. Perry has been Pre-testing 1st-3rd grades, which include the following tests; 4 minute run, tennis ball throw, jumping rope, sit ups and either bump ups or toss and catch. Kindergarten have been learning locomotor skills and exercises. The students have also been working hard at their P.E. Skill Challenges and had fun playing soccer, using the parachute and are working on throwing and catching skills. The walking/running path is now open and all students are encouraged to participate. Parents, please help your child to stay active and healthy by exercising and eating good nutritious food!!

Join us for our PTO Meeting
Come and join the Jefferson PTO on Monday, November 20th at 3:30 in the Library. PTO holds their meetings every 3rd Monday of the month. Join us and help us organize fundraisers and special events for our students.
