Principal's Message
Dear Wildcats,
For the Wildcat Pride never ceases! We have had a tremendous week of challenges and celebrations. We have had times of difficulty, but we take those difficult moments and work interdependently to make sure our students are on top!
Our 5th grade scores came in on Thursday, and there is so much to celebrate! 5th grade students really came through in a big way! Overall, we had 61% of the students pass either both or at least 1 exam! We are tremendously happy for this is already a huge gain from 1st round last year! Ensure you congratulate your fellow fifth grade teacher, interventionist, and tutors. They are truly motivated to finish the job with the all-time highest passers, so they already planned their 2 week intervention plan with a new model. For this reason, Ms. Rodriguez has decided to join the intervention mix and will support part of the day with the plan. Now, more than ever do we need you to be proactive with student behavior as our accountability truly rides on the back of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. They are on a mission and they are doing their part to ensure our students succeed. K-2nd, Specials, and Support Staff: We are asking for motivators, cheerleaders, and check in and check out staff mentors. Please connect with your STAAR buddies this week and next to ensure the kids feel supported in any creative way you and you choose.
Friends, we also must support K-2nd this next 2 weeks, they will be deep in MAP testing. Remember, we are looking for growth! We want our kids to do incredibly well. :)
We got this! We are unstoppable!

PBIS and Project Class
Project Class: As we begin to close out the year, we are starting to see behaviors escalate. It is more important than ever that student engagement be at the forefront of your day. Engaged students are less likely to exhibit unwanted behaviors. Take this time to strategically and methodically plan your daily lessons to keep the students interest high. Remember, just as you are tired and see the finish line, they are too. You got this!
PBIS:
Please meet with your teams to discuss what you feel our strengths are this year with PBIS, weaknesses, and areas of improvement. We will discuss this at our next meeting.
Working it, working it!
