Greetings Golightly Families
The next three weeks leading up to Winter Break will be filled with a variety of exciting planned activities and programs. It's great that there are special events, classroom activities, and parties planned to keep the community engaged. Staying updated through newsletters and emails will ensure everyone is aware of the schedule and can participate in the festivities.
As always, it is important for scholars to dig deep and really focus on strong academics and appropriate school behavior, while we say good bye to 2023. With spirits high, it is a great time to remind your scholar to treat others as they would want to be treated in return.
Attendance Matters

Iready Testing begins on Tuesday, December 5th
Scholars will be assessed in Math & ELA. Our 5th and 8th grades will also be assessed in Science and Social Studies with our district benchmark assessments. Please ensure that your scholar is in attendance.
To help prepare your child for the i-Ready Diagnostic, encourage them to:
• Get a good night’s sleep and eat a full breakfast the day of the assessment.
• Try their best on each question and try not to rush.
• Try not to worry about questions to which they do not know the answers.
• Be respectful of other students who take longer to finish.
• Use paper and pencil to show work for math questions
