There is no school on Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday. We had a popcorn party today celebrating our students' character. Five names from each grade level bucket were drawn (35 students) and each person was able to invite a friend. They also received a certificate. It was a great way to celebrate the day.

Today is the last day for this six week progress reporting period. Teachers will be updating the students' assessment grids and sending them home on January 26th in the Wednesday folder. Please compare your child's levels with the benchmarks that align with the grade level standards. How does your child compare? Please contact your teacher if you would like some suggestions on activities and strategies you can practice with them at home.

Are you missing any jackets or sweatshirts? The lost and found is getting very full!! Please encourage your child to look in the lost and found or stop by and take a look. There are too many nice clothing without names looking for a home.

There will be a K-2 grade Movie Night in the near future. Stay tuned for the details. Thanks to the Student Council and advisors for planning it.
