THE COUNSELORS’ CHAT | Issue 1
Issue 1 | August 25th, 2021
Hello and WELCOME BACK TO THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR!
We hope you had an enjoyable summer, away from Zoom meetings and the computer. We are very excited to welcome all of you back in person! Counselors will be an integral part of your students’ support at school. The purpose of this bi-weekly newsletter is to inform you of events, deadlines, tips, and information that support students’ college and career readiness. Don’t know who your counselor is? Please check your Aeries. Some students will not be in the alpha split.
Scheduling Errors
It’s the first full week of school and students may have some schedule change requests. The counseling department uses the following forms for students to submit requests:
Scheduling Errors:
Please use the following link and fill out the form if you have errors in your schedule. Students should fill out this form for the following reasons:
Have a missing period in your schedule
Have two classes in the same period
Have any other error in your schedule (example: you have world history on your schedule, but you already took world history)

Add/Drop/Challenge Requests
Please use the link below and fill out the form if you are requesting to change a course currently listed in Aeries. You will need to complete this form for each class you want to change. If your request is approved, your schedule will be updated.
**The last day to add or drop courses will be August 27, 2021.
Remember:
We cannot grant teacher requests or specific periods
7 period days are restricted to students in certain programs
Your schedule (teachers/order of periods) may change. Once a schedule change is made we will not move it back to the original schedule

Please continue to follow your original schedule. Your counselor will contact you if/when any changes are made. Counselors will do their best to respond to requests in a timely fashion so please be patient as we work diligently to work through the requests. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation!
