FEBRUARY 24, 2022
March is almost here so hopefully nicer weather is on it's way. The sunshine today really has me looking forward to spring!
Please remember to sign up for the March 9 and 10 conferences if you have not already done so. This is a great opportunity for you to visit with the teachers and your child about academic, behavioral and emotional progress. Collaboration among the students and teachers is taking place now so students will be prepared to lead their own conferences. I am so proud of the first rate education our students receive from our skilled teachers and how actively engaged our students are in their own education.
Blessings,
Lynette Hackett
FAITH
February has been a fun month to celebrate our bible verse for this year. "Do everything in love" really sums up how our St. Patrick family operates!
EXCELLENCE
During our Wednesday afternoon professional development last week, Dr. Sarah Montgomery shared research supporting the benefits of reading aloud to students of all grade levels every day. Teachers have been amazed at how much the older kids like to be read to! Jacoby Hill shared that she reads books that correspond to each social studies unit her 5th and 6th graders cover.
SERVICE
We have so many parent volunteers coming into our school to serve as Junior Achievement leaders. Check out Facebook and Instagram for the video from yesterday. You'll see our students hearing about and working on goal setting, careers, entrepreneurship, and regions of our country. I love the hands-on activities that Junior Achievement engages them in.
Thank You!
Check out our sponsors below and join me in thanking them with your support and words of appreciation. We have so many donors at the "Friends" level too, and they will be listed in our program at the event.
Tickets for the Main Event will be available at the door. If you don't have a ticket, just pay when you get there!
Pizza day is always something to celebrate!
Buy Scrip After Mass
Don't forget that we are now back to selling Scrip in the Narthex after Masses, generally on the first and third weekends of the month. It's a great way to just walk up and leave with in-stock items and order cards for receipt later in the week. March 5/6 and March 19/20 are the next weekends scheduled.
Notes from the School Office
Remember to turn in your family's registration form and tuition deposit for next year and complete Enrollment Express in PowerSchool by March 1.
