Placerita Jr. High School - November 5, 2018
We Survived Halloween Week
Thanks to everyone for making last week very memorable. This week is also a very busy week too with multiple activities including: 1) the presentation of the funds raised by our Music Department to the Shelia R. Veloz Breast Center. Ms. Spula and our students in her classes have done an incredible job with donations to raise over $1,500 during the month of October to help support the cause. I believe that our students learn life lessons through helping others just like a lot of our students have recently. Club HOT has helped clean the river bed at the River Rally and are currently working on gathering glass jars for the Center Pieces for Thanksgiving at the Senior Center. If you have any see Kelly Soto to help. Our ASB has been gathering candy for the SCV Pantry as well as for Operation Gratitude. Representatives from our baking club helped in raising money for Special Olympics. All of these things that you all do to help our community helps to create the culture of kindness that exists here. 2) We have the Step-it-Up celebration on Tuesday. Take a good look at the schedule that Jamie sent out for Tuesday. 3) We have leadership meeting on Wednesday at 2:45 in Room 44. 4) We have our Disaster Earthquake drill on Thursday. Adam will send out reminder information. 5) Dr. Moore of the Governing Board will be here Monday morning and Mr. Kuhlman will be here for a visit on Friday. 6) We also have the Site Report to present to the Governing Board on Wednesday evening. Yes... It is another busy week.
