Pinnacle Moment

Dallin Dinkle

After speaking with Dallin, he said that it felt good to be Athlete of the Week, but he does not want to get too excited because there are still a lot of games left and much to be improved on. Also, he wants to give credit where credit is due, to his teammates and coaches. "I couldn’t have got it without them." - Dallin

What motivates Dallin to work hard is the amount of love that he has for the game of football. He wants to succeed, be successful at what he does, and accomplish his goals. He wants to be what’s best for the team. He has an appreciation for all of his teammates as well as his school, because they are what motivate him to work hard.

Something that has stuck with him is the motto: “Play every play like it’s your last."

"Everyone needs to play like it’s the last play because you never know what play will be your last and if you do that you’ll be successful." - Dallin

Eagle Talk

Admin's Corner

"As a Principal, my role is a little different than the other people in the building. I always try to think like a teacher and put students first in all my decisions. The best thing I can do for all the students at VHS is to put qualified, hardworking, and caring teachers and staff around our kids every day. If a teacher is not working for our students, then my goal is to refocus them and make them effective. I see the school as a bus - we must have the right people on the bus and in the right seats to make the ride the most efficient. If someone doesn't belong on that bus or doesn't add value to the other lives on that bus, then it is time to replace them with someone who does. Change can be hard, but that is my job and my calling for VHS. So my goal is to make VHS awesome by putting the right people in the right places so our students can grow. My other goal is to have a safe school for all students. That means a lot of different things from playing judge when students break rules or conflict arise or budgeting for new cameras and doors. We want ever student to come to a school that is safe and inviting, where they can relax and learn." - Principal Robin Netherton
