Calling new Kindergarteners!

If you are the parent of an incoming kindergarten student and have not yet registered your child at the BOE, it is important that you do so immediately!! Our welcome letters are going out next week with dates for important upcoming events for our new students!

Summer STEAM Camp

Registration is now open for the Westwood Regional School District’s Summer STEAM Camp for students entering Grades K-7 in September 2016. Located at Brookside Elementary School, Westwood, the program runs from July 5th through July 29st. Enrichment offerings include such classes as “Amazing Arty Facts,” “Animation Adventures,” “Move & Groove”, “Mindfulness”, and “Introduction to Coding”. In addition, students can enrich their literacy and mathematics skills with “Phonics Fun”, “Wonderful World of Writers”, and “Space Maniacs”. Classes are also available for incoming Kindergarten students to enrich their learning before Kindergarten begins. Children do not need to be a student in a WWRSD school to enroll in this affordable summer program.

A Note Regarding Community Flyers...

In our on-going efforts to reduce paper and go green, the district is piloting an online opportunity for managing the flyers we receive from our community partners. If you click on http://bit.ly/WWRSDcommunityflyers you will be taken to the community portion of our website where you can access: 1) the newest flyers received in the current week, 2) flyers received previously and are still active, and 3) an archive of older flyers that are no longer active, but available for your review.
