Volume 4, Issue 3, Spring 2017
Thank you Gateway Community for making this another fantastic year!
The 2016-17 school year began with many new faces and lots of exciting innovations. This year, we were thrilled to add a number of Chromebooks to every classroom and begin planning for our one to one implementation project, which will begin in August of 2018! Because of your overwhelming support, we will be able to extend our one to one device initiative to our lower grades as well in 2018, allowing ALL of our Gators to experience the magic of digital learning.
As we look forward to our brand new school year, there are always bittersweet emotions that bubble to the top when we are faced with saying goodbye to our fifth grade “seniors”. These students have exhibited so many leadership traits over the years, complete with forming our first student council advisory board, and becoming mentors for younger students. Please don’t miss our annual “Clap Out” on May 24th at 2:00. This is always a great Gateway tradition and a wonderful send-off as we line the halls to celebrate our fifth graders!
To wonderful 5th grade families that we will not see walking our hallways next year, we love you all and will miss you! Please remember that you are all unique, intelligent and ready for middle school! From 5th Grade Day to Decades Day presentations, (complete with the best costumes!), you always rise to the occasion. Please come back and visit every time that you can, and remember that you are all permanent members of our Gator family!
Have a fantastic summer!

Calvage Connection Updates
From the Assistant Principal...
It’s been an incredibly quick journey together this year! I am once again privileged to be a part of our great Gateway family. Thank you parents for sharing your students with us. It is a very exciting time of the year when we pause and reflect about the progress we have made and accomplishments we have achieved. I hope that you have a wonderful summer and are able to spend some great family time together creating wonderful memories. I am looking forward to seeing everyone back together in August. Stay safe!
