Systems of Equations with Boltin
In Mr. Boltin’s 8th grade math class, students have been working on projects in place of a unit test on systems of equations. For the project, each student chose a topic having to do with a tv show or movie and then had to create a word problem based on the topic chosen.
National School Breakfast Week is a Success
Last week students enjoyed National School Breakfast Week. Students could earn prizes if they found stickers on the bottoms of trays. They could also enter a drawing to win the grand prize which was a backpack or water bottle filled with snacks from the extra sales cart. Media Frenzy Vs. Fact
There is an awful lot of information pouring in from a wide variety of media outlets. When it comes to things like the Coronavirus, a friend’s story from social media is not the most reliable source of information. More reliable sources for medical information include organizations such the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. If we consult reliable sources, we can prevent the spread of misinformation.
