LOCKDOWN SUPPLIES
The red lockdown straps have been ordered and the D-rings are scheduled to be installed during Winter Break. Once we're back (and can confirm that the work has been done), I will reach out to the SJPD to arrange a lockdown drill. More info to come.
PHIL QUON
Some of you worked with our former Superintendent Phil Quon when he was part of the Union family. Before Thanksgiving, Phil suffered a fall at home which resulted in a severe injury. Thankfully, he is making progress. Our thoughts are with Phil and his family at this time. Phil’s story and recovery updates can be found here: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/philquon
COLLABORATION MEETING - WEDNESDAY
Our December collaboration meeting will focus on supporting student behaviors in the classroom. Karla will present an overview, including information about identifying the cause of the behavior and recommendations for supporting student success. We will begin at 1:45 in the Staff Room.

SMART RESTART
Smart Restart will be held on January 7th. Each grade level has been allocated $150 to purchase materials/supplies (including tax and shipping costs). To ensure that materials are available prior to our Winter Break, all orders must be submitted to Vicki by Friday, December 7th. Even better - provide her with the Amazon link.
COMPUTER SCIENCE WEEK / HOUR OF CODE
Don't forget that December 3-7 is Computer Science Week. Please be sure to review the excellent list of resources that Sarah shared earlier this week and select one or more activities for your class. If you have questions - reach out to Sarah.
RECESS 101 REQUEST
Friendly reminder - if you are using equipment from the recess cart in the PM hours, please return the equipment back to the assigned/labeled area and make sure the cart is returned back to the room. This is essential, since all of equipment is labeled for each game area and it throws everything off if we are missing equipment due to them being left out over night or over the weekend. Let Justin know if you have any questions. Thanks.
