Just the Facts...May 13, 2020
What Starts Here Changes The World...
I can not believe that we only have one more week of school this year. I am so grateful for your partnership before and during virtual learning. The Lakeside community is amazing!
Thank you for your flexibility and partnership.
Classroom / Learner Material PickUp or DropOff
- Days: Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19th
- Locations: Office loop for Bernas and Nichols class. Cafeteria loop for Rooney, Acosta, and Taylor classes.
- Times: Monday 11:30-12:30 and Tuesday from 10:30-11:30
Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth, & Fifth will drop-off materials
- Days: Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19th
- Times: Due to the number of stops and varied locations, please adhere to the schedule each educator will share/create for your custom visit and drop-off.
- You are welcome to keep this impending visit a surprise for your child if you would like but please help our educators stay on schedule by following their requested timing.
- Social Distancing including masks and gloves should be followed. Thank you.
5th Grade Graduation
- Days: Wednesday May 20th Please note: Thursday May 21st will be used ONLY in the event of rain.
- Times: Learner/Family drive thru schedule will be shared and will be assigned by class.
- Attire: Comfortable for the weather but dressing to celebrate their achievement is a great idea.
- Something fun: We will have a photo booth opportunity for our kids. Please remember to move through the photo booth in a manner that will allow continued flow of families.
- Location: Graduation in the cafe loop followed by photo in the office loop.
- Social distancing should be maintained at all times. Please respectfully maintain distance from other families, friends, and educators. We want to celebrate but we need to follow the rules. :) Thank you.
Library Book Return / Dropoff
To return Lakeside library books:
- Locations: If it is NOT raining then we will place the receptacle on the sidewalk between both the office and the cafeteria loop so families can enter through either loop and have access to the bin. *In the event of rain, the return bin will be located under the covered area in the office loop.
- Please place all Lakeside library books in either a small plastic grocery, garbage bag, or a gallon ziplock bag. Please make sure that the bag is either tied or zipped up.
- There will be a large gray rolling receptacle on wheels marked Book Return
- Dates: May 18th from 8am until 11am and May 19th from 8am until 10:30am. *Pre K will be able to drop off their library books when they come to pickup their materials. Deposit all bagged books into this bin.
- This process is designed to allow families to drive thru the loops for drop-off and should not require anyone to park.
- Books will be stored over the summer and will be checked in when we return in August.
Yearbook Distribution
We anticipate (hope) that spring pictures will be delivered with you child's materials next week.
