Spanish
Ms. Hesson's classes are talking about the history and origins of the Spanish language by looking into the culture and literature of Spain. This is an important and meaningful unit of study as it helps students to understand the reasons behind why we learn Spanish from Spain.
AVID
7th and 8th grade AVID students are excited to be part of the school-wide organizational initiative that begins with the school binder that was given to all students at the beginning of this year.
Ms. Wilton hopes all students will benefit from this school-wide effort to streamline work and productivity in students. Here are some highlights of the school-wide AVID Binder:
1. One place for all homework and papers to be signed and returned in the front HOMEWORK pocket.
2. Parents can monitor students work completion in the provided planner pages. Students should be writing in the planner every day for each applicable class.
3. Dividers make it easy to file papers by the correct class.
4. A school-wide bathroom pass is located in the back pocket.
Parents please check your student's work binder daily or as often as possible!
2023 Yearbook

Stock the Lounge
The month of September will be sponsored by the following Davidsen families/students:
Angela Easley, Ayden Stephens, Devonte Bankston, Michael Brissette, and Sarah Jones.
Thank you September Stock the Lounge donors!
Our teachers have said this PTSA sponsored effort is one of the things that makes being a Davidsen teacher special, so please consider chipping in to help let our teachers know we support and appreciate them. Participating in Stock the Lounge is easy: just click here to donate and the PTSA will take care of the rest! All funds donated will be used to purchase healthy snacks like whole fruit, grab and go chips and crackers, nuts, sparkling water, and more for the teachers' lounge.
Your name (and/or student's name) will be listed as a sponsor on a sign displayed in the lounge each month.
If you would like to donate something else, do your own shopping, or if you have a business who would like to participate, please contact our PTSA President, Scott.
Let's help keep our teachers energized for our students!

By having the Canvas app on your phone, you can easily check in with your student's teachers and see grades as they are entered by teachers.
Canvas may be accessed by desktop and mobile. The best way to access Canvas from your phone is through the Canvas mobile app. You can download the Canvas Student app and the Canvas Parent app for iphone or Android. Once you have downloaded the app you must connect your account by searching under Hillsborough Public Schools in the search window. Help Davidsen students stay cell phone free
We ask parents and guardians to help our efforts by refraining from texting, calling, or otherwise messaging your student's phone during school hours. Any important communication may be made with Ms. Bryant in the front office, who will contact your student's teacher. Students may also contact you as needed by asking their teacher.
Students may bring a cell phone to school but it may only be used when a teacher requires it.
The cell phone rule also applies between classes and during lunch.
The Davidsen administration strongly believes that barring cell phone use in school is beneficial to our students' productivity, attention level, personal development, and more. We thank you for joining us in helping to promote and uphold our student-centered cell phone policy.
