November 19, 2021

Good Friday Afternoon!

We had a great week of learning and working hard this week. I am so thankful for our students at McKissick and our parents as well. We are blessed to have such a positive atmosphere at school and that is a testament to our students and families! I hope each of you have a wonderful week and happy Thanksgiving! We will see you, Monday, November 29th, 2021!~

Committed to Success,

Heather Touchberry

Career Day

Thanks to Mrs. Moore, we had an amazing Career Day!

Magnet School Email and Applications

The School District of Pickens County will begin sending out magnet information and applications for next school year. However, this is only for "new" magnet students that are not currently here and enrolled at McKissick. There is no need to apply again once accepted. However, in the spring we will send out confirmation forms for our current students. We are so thankful for you!

Lunch with your student

The district is now allowing parents to eat with their students for lunch! If you would like to eat lunch with your student, please send an email or Schoology message to the teacher. We can only allow one parent per class due to limited spacing in the lunch room. We are excited to welcome parents back in the building!

Our PTO would love your feedback! Would you take a few minutes to fill out this survey so we know how to help?

Teacher of the Month

For the month of November, we would like to honor Mrs. Ashton Fisher. Mrs. Fisher teaches music and leads our musical programs here at MAST. She is also a leader in STEM with our partners from Clemson University College of Education. Not only is she an all around postive team player for our whole school, but she leads small groups before school and on Fridays for our students. Thank you, Mrs. Fisher for all you do for our school!

Book Fair

Students have been asking about it for weeks and now it is finally time! Coming November 29-December 3 is our annual Book Fair! Immediately following Thanksgiving break and just in time for Christmas gifts, the Book Fair will be held in the library, and parents will be able to come in before the Holiday Spectacular-see graphic below! More details will be coming about Scholastic's "ewallet" that allows you to put money on an account so you do not have to send cash. There will be something for all (children's) ages and price ranges. Meet me at the fair!

November Lunch Menu

The November lunch menu is below. Just a reminder that all student lunches are free to families this year through federal Covid-19 funding.

***Due to food shortages in the nation, lunch choices are subject to change on a daily basis.
