LW Wildcats Weekly Word
Friday, November 19, 2021
Message from Principal Ready
Dear Families,
Next week we spend a few days reflecting on all we are grateful for. I am a lucky principal to have such amazing staff, students and families and each day I am grateful for the collaboration in support of student growth and success. I know conferences have been filled with celebrations as well as goals to guide our work. Thank you for being an incredible partner in this work.
I’m also thankful for a little time with my family and recharge for a few days. I hope that your family has time to connect, reflect on all that you are grateful for and return with renewed energy for the next few weeks of growing our hearts and minds!
With gratitude,
Melanie Ready

Kindergarten Programs Open for Registration
Do you have an incoming kindergartner in our Tahoma family? We can’t wait to see them in class next fall! There are three kindergarten programs that families can currently register/express interest in:
- Kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open (families are encouraged to register by Jan. 31, 2022).
- Families can also complete a questionnaire/interest form for “Transitional Kindergarten,” a new program for students who may need additional preparation to be successful in kindergarten.
- “READY! for Kindergarten” is an optional E-learning workshop program for parents/caregivers of any child ages 2-5 in our district that helps them prepare their child for a happy and successful school experience.
Learn more about each program and register here: https://bit.ly/3ni6PPj
For more specific information, please visit: bit.ly/TahomaK or contact Carole Witruk, cwitruk@tahomasd.us, or call (425) 413-3430.

Lost and Found Information
Dear Wildcats,
If your student has lost an item, the Lost and Found is now available to access after school when the students are gone Monday-Thursday between 3:20-4:00. Please check in at the Main Office and we can direct you to the Lost/Found Closet.
Our closets are starting to get full. One way to avoid that is putting your student(s) name on their clothing so our staff can deliver them when found.
