Celebrating Our 8th Graders
Englewood Leadership Academy Continuation, Class of 2024
Dear Parents and Families~
With the end of the school year approaching, a new challenge remains: how to close the school year at a distance AND celebrate our amazing 8th graders as they prepare for high school.
Wishing you peace and health as we head into summer.
With Gratitude for all of you,
Annessa Hart
Principal, Englewood Leadership Academy
Dear 8th Graders~
You have been great friends and partners through your middle school years. And your efforts during remote learning didn't fall short! Everything great we know about you stayed true, even during this difficult time. You are kind and considerate, humble and loyal, and all-around amazing individuals. As an entire class, you make our school a better place.
We applaud you for the amazing mark of pride and dedication you are leaving on ELA. And now...on to summer, and then the exciting adventure of high school!!
All the best,
~Mrs. Hart

AVID--Advancement Via Individual Determination
Our AVID students began their journey in seventh grade when each of them endured a rigorous application and interview process that demonstrated their individual determination and dedication to their future goals. The year that followed was filled with hard work, field trips, goal setting, personal reflection, and blossoming friendships as these students became part of our EMS/ELA AVID family. Along the way each of our AVID students has grown both academically and socially.
One of the most important aspects of AVID is individual determination. It is hard work to achieve lofty goals, and each of our AVID students has put in time and effort to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful student today and into high school and college.
Each of these students has a tremendous amount of strength and potential, and we are confident that they’ll accomplish great things in the future. Our AVID program is only as strong as our AVID students, and we so proud of all the hard work and tenacity shown by our AVID Eights this year.
These students are:
Bargas, Lorinda
Caruso, Mackenzie
Diller, Ava
Manfre, Keaolani
McCaskey, Kaylee
Patton, Justice
