College Goal Wisconsin 2024
Do you have questions on how to complete the FAFSA? Plan to attend a College Goal Wisconsin event in-person or virtually to receive free information and assistance. You could win a free scholarship! There are many options in the local area and virtually throughout January.
Are you ready to launch?
In six months you will be a high school graduate! With the diploma also comes independence, freedom and personal responsibility. While your parents may still be involved in your life - it will fall on you to communicate with roommates, professors, employers, coworkers, etc. YOU will be in charge of showing up, following through, and speaking up for what you need. College and the “real world” function much differently than high school. Now is a great time to start practicing your self-advocacy skills.

Do you have a resume?
You probably made a resume in 10th grade in College and Career Readiness. Now is the time to update it and make it a professional reflection of what you’ve accomplished in high school. All seniors should leave high school with a resume - whether you are seeking a full-time or part-time job, having a resume is a great way to organize all of your information in one spot as well as stand out from others. * Important note: if you don’t have anything to put on a resume, now is the time to start doing things.

Struggling with procrastination? Win the battle!
Are you having a hard time getting through your “to do” list or following through on your goals? Do you keep putting things off until tomorrow? Does worrying about the next step, prevent you from taking any steps? The best cure for inaction is action. Even a small step, is a step. Start small. Do one piece of the task. Don’t pay attention to the clock. Celebrate small victories…repeat.
