Balclutha Primary School - T1 Wk 4
Newsletter 26 February 2021
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia Ora e te whānau,
Welcome to week four. On Monday we had our school athletics day. It was wonderful to see so many parents come along and support our students. Congratulations to all the students who have qualified for the South Otago Athletics in a couple of weeks. I'm sure they will be wonderful representatives for our school.
This week all our students have been working through the Keeping Ourselves Safe programme with Constable Gordon. I encourage parents to talk to their children about what they have been learning. This is a key part of our Health and PE programme and it is important that our children feel safe and know where to go and what to do if they feel unsafe.
Have a wonderful week,
Ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave
THANK YOU!
A big thank you to Balclutha New World for donating the sausages for our sausage sizzle during our Athletics Day this week. Money raised will to go towards our upcoming camps.
Thank you also to the Smith family for donating the new arrows for our archery equipment for camp! Your support is greatly appreciated and all our campers will now be able to have much more (accurate) fun!
Walk and Wheel Week
Next week is "Walk and Wheel" week and students are encouraged to ride or walk to school.
On Wednesday Balclutha Primary School will have a "Wheelie Wednesday". Students may bring their bikes or scooters to school to ride at lunch time. All students with wheels MUST wear a helmet please.
There will be a circuit set up on the concrete area in front of Room 11 and 12 for the junior students and seniors will be given the opportunity to take their wheels to the skate park over lunch time. Please remember, no wheels are permitted on the turf.
