CSU Applications

The CSU application is now open and must be submitted. This year, but don't wait to get started!

Completing your applications early means you will have more time to focus on financial aid and scholarships!

Students are eligible to apply to CSUs based on their GPA and A-G course completion:

  • California residents and graduates of California high schools will be eligible for admission by earning a 2.50 or greater “a-g” GPA.
  • Any California high school graduate or resident of California earning a GPA between 2.00 and 2.49 may be evaluated for admission based upon supplemental factors.
  • You must meet the A-G requirements with a grade of C- or better must be earned for the course to satisfy “a-g" requirements. (HHS list of A-G https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist/institution/1641)
  • You can validated lower grades for specific courses, math, language other than English, and chemistry. Validation rules: https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/csu-uc-a-g-comparison-matrix.pdf
  • NO TEST SCORES REQUIRED THIS YEAR. The CSU is test blind for the 2021-22 application cycle. Some campuses may be considering additional factors.
