Student Tech Team
The Student Tech Team receives training to support teachers and students who need computer help. These students will be visiting the Apple Store in King of Prussia to learn how to service students and teachers.
Apple Coach Leads Teachers
Chris Hyde, Apple Instructional Coach, is supporting teachers in designing lessons that integrates technology. This week, teachers learned how to use IMovie and blogging.
Schoology
Schoology is an educational platform similar to Blackboard and Moodle. It allows teachers to assign activities that students need to upload and it provides a forum for online discussion around assignments. This pic shows Mr. Stock's class using Schoology.
Social Media Assembly & Parent Meeting
On Monday, January 26, 2015 we will be hosting the Light, Bright, and Polite assembly. This social media education assembly is led by Josh Ochs. You can learn more about the Josh and his program, Light, Bright, and Polite by going to his website at http://safesmartsocial.com

Mid-Term Exams count for 10% of a student's overall grade. It's important that students take time to study and prepare for Mid-Terms. The exam schedule is below. Students only need to report if they have a Mid-Term at the time listed below.

Avery Sicher, 11th Grader Performs in Tournament of Roses Parade
PGHS UNITE!!!
On Friday, close to forty students met together as follow up to the December Town Hall meeting to discuss the App, Afterschool. The meeting became so much more then just the app; matter of fact, the students collaborated to take a stand against bullying. The students decided to call this group PGHS Unite since it's the focus to bring people together at PGHS. Below are some of the action items that the students have been working on since the December meeting; they reported out on what was accomplished to date:
PGHS Unite will meet again on Friday, January 30, 2015 during periods 1, 2, and 3 in the District Office Board room.
- Cyber Bullying Play - Senior, Allison Wentzel, found a play that portrays the dangers of Cyber Bullying and is putting together a drama team to act out this play for each grade level on Friday, February 27, 2015.
- Light, Bright, and Polite - Ms. Feola arranged for this powerful program to come to PGMS & PGHS on Monday, January 26th.
- Social Media Parent Website - Mr. Wagman created a page with social media resources for parents
- Student Support Groups - Mrs. Hayden, Mrs. Scott, and our School Counselors held a support group for students after school on Wednesday. This will take place again this week.
- Color Day Theme - The theme for the Color Day speeches is Respect.
PGHS Unite will meet again on Friday, January 30, 2015 during periods 1, 2, and 3 in the District Office Board room.
