African lion



Lions are the largest of all African cats. They are the second largest cat species world wide, and smaller than a tiger. The lion is the tallest measured at the shoulder of all felines and second heaviest of tigers.


Because lions are carnivors that eat meat. When lions hunt they look for herds. lions usual prey are baby elephants and They also eat baby hippos and mostly zebras.


Lions are found in Africa but seen India and some parts of Asia. They like hot places deserts and savanas.


Breeding occurs all year around with 2-6 cubs being born. The lioness normally leaves the pride to give birth.
