Review
America has been split by a war, killing 40% of America's population; leaving the eastern half with animals and humans infected by Ferae Naturae (meaning 'of a wild nature') . Ferae is a disease that turns you into a ravaging beast and eventually you go feral; causing harm to anyone, even loved ones. This book tells the story about a girl, Delaney (Lane) Park, who lives on the western side of America split by a massive 700 ft wall made by the Titan, the ones who accidentally made the disease Ferae. Lane has to go over the other side of the wall to fetch something so she can save her father's life. In this riveting story it shows how much you do for your family, even if that means putting yourself in serious danger.
While doing the fetch for the item Lane befriends two guys. Everson, the brave soldier, and Rafe, the criminal who Lane's father raised. Science fiction isn't that entertaining to me so this was a nice twist. The whole book made me feel like I was with them on the journey to this terrible, disgusting place. Inhuman was probably one of best written stories I've read in years. There were so many plot twists and this story will have you guessing until the very end. With the whole love triangle you wonder who she's going to pick throughout the whole book. I could not put this book down at all. With all the action and adventure you're engaged throughout the whole story. This was an amazing start to a new trilogy. I cannot wait for the other two books to come out.
