America has been split by a war, killing 40% of America's population; leaving the eastern half with animals and humans infected by Ferae Naturae (meaning 'of a wild nature') . Ferae is a disease that turns you into a ravaging beast and eventually you go feral; causing harm to anyone, even loved ones. This book tells the story about a girl, Delaney (Lane) Park, who lives on the western side of America split by a massive 700 ft wall made by the Titan, the ones who accidentally made the disease Ferae. Lane has to go over the other side of the wall to fetch something so she can save her father's life. In this riveting story it shows how much you do for your family, even if that means putting yourself in serious danger.
While doing the fetch for the item Lane befriends two guys. Everson, the brave soldier, and Rafe, the criminal who Lane's father raised. Science fiction isn't that entertaining to me so this was a nice twist. The whole book made me feel like I was with them on the journey to this terrible, disgusting place. Inhuman was probably one of best written stories I've read in years. There were so many plot twists and this story will have you guessing until the very end. With the whole love triangle you wonder who she's going to pick throughout the whole book. I could not put this book down at all. With all the action and adventure you're engaged throughout the whole story. This was an amazing start to a new trilogy. I cannot wait for the other two books to come out.

- Some information about walls. Titan, the creators of the disease, built a 700 foot wall from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico to separate East from West.
In the book, The Testing, it relates a lot to Inhuman. The Seven Stages War turned the planet into a wasteland in that book. In Inhuman The Plague ruined America leaving one side almost like a horrific wasteland and the other side is full of civilized and nice buildings. The Testing's main character, Cia, becomes allies with her childhood crush to survive the testing and it's deadly tasks to pass the test and get a chance at college education. Delaney Park, on the other hand has become allies with the guard of the wall, Everson, and this guy her dad was secretly raising, Rafe, in order to complete her fetch and save her dad. Both books include trusting the guys they are slowly falling in love with and trying to stay alive.
The Hunger Games
After the post-nuclear war in North America, there is a wealthy capitol with 12 poorer districts surrounding it. Like inhuman there was a war but in The Hunger Games it was a terrible nuclear war. In both books they contain controlling governments that make both main characters do hard tasks. If they both girls don't complete what they need to it's a life or death situation. Also, in both books the government creates things. What I mean is in Ihuman, Titan created the disease and killed half of the population. In The Hunger Games the government picks tributes to fight on national television until there is only one person left alive. Both characters, Katniss (The Hunger Games), and Lane (Inhuman), do anything necessary to keep there family out of harms way.
Again, like all of the other partner titles, Divergent opens in a dystopian world where everything is run down and destroyed like Inhuman. This book in split into five factions, where in Inhuman America is just split in half. The main character, Beatrice/Tris, also faces some challenging tasks ahead of her which are also very deadly. In this trilogy, Tris also trying to find a way to save the one's she loves like her brother, mother, and father. She falls in love with another brave guy just like Lane did and she doesn't know who or what to trust. This is another book that you can't put down until the end because of the great way it is written.
