Arrival at TR - Notes to remind your student
- Before school basketball in the gym does not happen in December. BB will resume in the morning starting in the third quarter.
- Doors do not open until 8:05. Please encourage your student to arrive no sooner than 8:05
- Breakfast in the MPR is from 8:25 - 8:40.
- Before school assistance from teachers requires a pass. Email/paper passes both work!

Important Reminder
- Do not share your locker combination.
- Cell Phones: the policy for cell phones is to store in your locker. Access to call home is available throughout the day for students from a land line. There is no need for cell use DURING the school day. Store phones in locker to avoid lost / stolen personal property. There is
- Earbuds: For the limited classroom content that requests the use of earbuds ... please note that classroom sets are available. Additionally, while not in use earphones/buds should be stored in locker for safe keeping. We strongly request that earbuds NOT BE LOANED to peers to avoid misplacement / loss of personal property.

SMEF Teacher Grants Available! We love our teacher ingenuity and SMEF support!
Shawnee Mission Education Foundation Excellence in Education Grant Applications Now Available
Excellence in Education (E2) Grant Applications are now available. We will have an information session for educators on December 10 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the CAA in Room 2042. Please bring your questions! E2 Grants of up to $3,500 are awarded for projects that foster innovative and challenging teaching and learning and any educator can apply. We know all of you have brilliant ideas…might as well get some money for them. Music Rehearsals this Week
This practice may occur during another content subject - your student is being coached to get work ahead of time and teachers will work with them to make up their work / learning.

Dance Team Information
Please see the following information about the Trailridge Dance Team that will kick off the week after Thanksgiving Break. If your student is interested in joining the Dance Team, please see the attached flier for additional details!
Are you interested in dance? Come join SMNW Dance Team after school and we will teach you a halftime dance along with dance technique to help you prepare for tryouts in the spring!
What it is? SMNW Dance Team will teach you a dance that you can perform at the halftime of Trailridge basketball games! We will also work on dance technique to help prepare you for tryouts if you choose to tryout for SMNW Dance Team.
When? We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:50-4:30 in the MPR (we only do Tuesdays + Game Days in 2020). Come to as many dates as you can! See below for more information. There is one practice this year that runs late!
Where? We meet in the Trailridge Cafeteria.
Who? Anyone can come (7th or 8th grade)! You do not need dance experience to join...we are happy to teach you!
