iTeach MakerCamp 2019
Week of June 3-7 Camp Wrap-up
Maker Camp Day 5
Parents--
Thank you so much for sharing your children with us this week. Each day was a lot of fun-filled learning. Your child became a maker. They learned about fossils, maker activities to celebrate holidays, Leonardo da Vinci, creating a carnival that is fun but benefits others and a bit of science! Every day the coaches were blown away by the creativity and knowledge each camper shared with us. We kept our campers busy all day. Did your child fall asleep on the way home? I know the coaches were moving a bit slower than we did on Monday, but we enjoyed every single day with your child/children.
Follow us on social media and keep in touch! We hope to see your camper(s) next Summer!

Morning Meeting and Morning Maker Sessions Day 5
During our morning meeting we talked about What is Matter? Campers got to experience different types of matter through maker activities: creating a calming jar using oil, water, food coloring, alka seltzer and some glow in the dark beads and bands; squishy circuit signal; balloon force rockets and heat sensitive color changing slime.
The highlight for the campers was lunch in the Commons--where the "big kids" eat. It is always a favorite of our campers.
During the afternoon we prepared for our student-led conferences with you to share their week's activities. If you missed it or would like to revisit it, I have included the QR code for Seesaw below.
Quivervision
Check out this app/site. If you saw your child with the owl mask in a Seesaw post, this is the app/site we used to make it happen. You can print out a mask, have your child color it then use the app to watch it come alive!
This is the app we used daily to share a reflection from your child as well as many pictures. Here is the QR code if you misplaced the one we sent earlier.
