PIC Family Involvement

We LOVE for families to be actively involved in school! Research shows that academic achievement is greater and students are more connected and happy at school, the more families are involved. We are grateful that many of our parents are helping with our robotics programs which have almost 50 students! As we start forming our Odyssey of the Mind (OM) teams (https://www.odysseyofthemind.com/), we are in need of a coach for a 4th/5th grade team. An OM team has 5-7 students on it. Teams will meet once a week after school and more often the closer we get to the February competition. If interested, please contact Mrs. Cramer at jcramer@gbcs.org or Dr. Hall at ahall@gbcs.org with questions.

Besides helping with extracurricular activities, we hope families get involved with our Family Council (PTO) and attend our monthly family events (Examples - Space Trivia Night on Oct. 18, PIC Culture/Heritage Night on Nov. 15). Additionally, our teachers will start to share opportunities to volunteer through field trips and more. It takes a village to raise children. We are honored to be part of your village and welcome your involvement here at school!

PIC Raffle Ticket Fundraiser Progress

Please keep those ticket stubs and funds coming in! In the first 3 weeks of our fundraiser, 290 tickets or $2,900 worth have been sold and turned in. We have four more weeks to work toward our lofty goal. The highest ticket sellers in each grade level for October will receive gift cards to the Flint Candy Company. The class with the greatest ticket sales per student in October will win a donut and cider party! You can turn in ticket stubs and funds at any time and pick up more tickets. Our goal is for each student to sell 15 tickets. Thanks for your support!
