Homer High-Lights

Summer Issue

Principal's Message

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Relax and enjoy the warm weather, fishing, camping or whatever you do during this incredible, but sometime frenetic time in Alaska.

Homer High School likes to put out a summer edition of our newsletter to honor all the sports and activities that have happened since our last newsletter, These are sports and activities that don't always get the recognition they deserve. We are proud of all our students accomplishments and hope you enjoy your reading. I look forward to seeing everyone again in August.

As always, I would love to hear from you. If you have ideas or suggestions, please drop by. If you can't make it in, you can call me at 907-235-4600 or e-mail me at dwaclawski@kpbsd.k12.ak.us.

Sincerely,

Douglas Waclawski

Principal

Boys Soccer Earns 3rd

Our Boys Soccer Team made a strong run at the State Tournament by placing 3rd. They blew out Grace Christian 5-1 in the opening game and then lost a close one to the eventual State Champions, Kenai 0-2. They came back from this tough loss to beat North Pole 3-0. This is the third time Homer Soccer has finished 3rd at the State tournament.
