COVID-19 UPDATES
Notice of Plan to Transition
(The following notice is to give parents a chance to plan ahead. Any transition, if metrics continue, would not take place until the week of Sept. 28.)
When the Klamath County COVID-19 rate exceeded 21 cases this week (Sept.13-19), it also exceeded the 30 cases per 100,000 metric that allows the district to provide in-person classes. If our case rate exceeds 21 cases again next week, all of our schools doing in person learning will be transitioning to Comprehensive Distance Learning. We will only do this if the case rate is 21 or above for the week of Sept. 20-26. Depending on when we receive the information, we could only have a couple of days to make the transition. Please be prepared! We will continue to watch the metrics and update students and families as soon as we have more information.

MAZAMA HIGH TO HOST SAT TESTING
Mazama High School will be a College Board SAT testing site Sept. 26, Oct. 4, and Nov. 7.
The school has partnered with Klamath County Public Health about how to administer the exam following protocols that will allow them to offer the public service efficiently and safely, said Mazama Principal Michael Schaefer.
“We felt this would be huge service to our community for Klamath Basin students, as well as those from other communities,” Schaefer said. “Other communities have had to cancel administration of the exam and are reaching out to us.”
Safety protocols will include one-way paths of travel, including separate entrances and exits, social distancing, and the required use of personal protection equipment.
The SAT exam is administered by the College Board. Students must sign up through the College Board’s website or by contacting them by phone. Space is limited and filling quickly for all three dates. At that time, students will receive details about the exam, including start times.
UPDATED: Grab-and-Go Meals!
Our Grab-and-Go Meal program has been updated to include all children ages 1-18, and some additional meal pickup days. The main pickup day for distance, online, and homeschool learners is still 11 to noon Fridays at all school sites. You will receive five breakfasts and five lunches on that day.
Delivery routes in the Henley and Chiloquin areas will continue on Fridays. Click on our Grab-and-Go button (below) for details and more information.
Need help accessing our parent portals?
Parents have access to both eSchool and Schoology. Following are directions and login information for both systems. Please know that it can take several days for assignments to be graded and synced to eSchool from Schoology. Also know that eSchool is the official gradebook for your student and Schoology may not reflect accurate grades. NOTE: If your student is a homeschool or KCSD Online student, they do not use Schoology.
