Happenings on the Hill

MHBS 5-12 Communications/February 12, 2016

Wilhelm: A Mars Hill Icon

In 1962 Jack Wilhelm began serving as President of MHBS and remained in that post for more than 20 years. Under his steady leadership the school gained solid financial footing and built a new elementary building, cafeteria, two gymnasiums, bookstore, office complex, baseball field, and bus garage and laid the groundwork to open the Colbert campus. Brother Jack was also a pillar of the church in the Shoals and was constantly sought after for teaching and preaching. Brother Jack passed from this life earlier this week, but his influence and service will provide an example for generations to come. Our prayers are with Mary Alice and the Wilhelm family at this time.

Congratulations to 2A Area 16 Champs, our Lady Panthers!
