#GradyCareerDay Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our 2016 #GradyCareerDay! This year we were trending on Twitter during the day of events, and had record numbers of attendance.

Grady College welcomed 150 professionals from 72 companies and 378 students to its largest-ever Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day. This annual event connects companies and organizations with students seeking careers in digital, print and broadcast journalism, creative mass media, media sales, film, advertising and public relations. Career Day activities began with a networking breakfast for employers and students, followed by panel discussions, a networking luncheon and a career fair. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the University of Georgia Career Center.

The six-month fellowship is hosted by several Omnicom Group agencies located in Atlanta, placing recent Grady graduates at BBDO for three months, followed by or after three months at either Porter Novelli, Ketchum or Fleishman-Hillard, in no particular order. In addition to agency work in advertising and public relations, fellows will have the opportunity to participate in monthly educational luncheons and mentoring sessions with a representative from an outside agency.
