What is the Moon?
The moon is a large sphere in the space that makes an orbit around a planet. The moon is often observed in astronomy. The moon is about 4.5 million years old. It is also a natural satellite to Earth.

Only 59% of the moon's surface is visible. This is because as the moon rotates around Earth, it also rotates on its own axis. There for we always see the same side of the moon. The moon take 27 days to rotate around the Earth. The Lunar month takes longer than the moon takes to rotate around the earth. The Lunar month takes about 29.5 days to complete all the cycles.
Facts
The surface of the moon has craters, lava plains, mountains and valleys on it. The moon has extremely thin atmosphere. It has no wind or weather but in November, 2009 water discovered. The only reason we can see the moon is because the suns ray reflect off of the moon and the light makes the moon visible to us.
