December is Delightful!!!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Happy December!!!
I hope that everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. December is a short month, but can be pretty hectic. This year is almost over but we have a lot of exciting things going on before our winter break.
December is a time for old traditions and new beginnings. In our morning meeting we will be learning about different traditions and how children celebrate around the world.
Thanks to all of the parents who participated in the Parent/Teacher Conferences. Make sure you discuss with your child all of the great things that are happening here at Wharton!

Turkey trot info!
Cold weather can't keep us down! Students took on the Turkey Trot on Friday, November 18th running laps through the school! Two winners in each homeroom took home turkeys and 4 students won raffled off turkeys! Congratulations to ALL our students- none of whom gave up!
Students were also challenged to reduce their hands on behavior (nothing serious- just keeping our hands to ourselves throughout the day!) and they were successful! Each classroom had popcorn pieces that they needed to keep in their bucket for the days leading up to our fall break (classrooms would lose a piece if the class received referrals for hands-on behavior) and all rooms ended the challenge period with at least one piece remaining! So all students were able to participate in the all school movie, Inside Out, and enjoy a treat! Stay tuned for our next challenge!
Special Thanks...
