City of Bones
By: Cassandra Clare
The Mortal Instruments
Out of all the books I have read, this one beats them all! Full of action, adventure, and more, this book has changed my perspective on many situations. I can definitely say that once the story gets started, you will never want it to end. It is a story of love, mystical beings, and knowledge for the unknown. The author does a fantastic job in squeezing real life situations, problems, and solutions in amongst all the fantasy and science fiction that overcomes the book. Personally, I love reading but in order for me to stay engrossed in the book, it has to be pretty fast paced with the feeling of "needing to know more"! This book is more than capable of producing that feeling. It will keep you guessing and most of all... keep you reading.
Frailty of Hearts
When a heart is broken, not only is the heart broken, but the person surrounding that heart will never be the same.
The Gift
It's a gift to be able to see the good AND bad things in ordinary, everyday items and that gift "doesn't make you crazy, just different".
Seeing the Glamour
Similarly to "The Shadow World", we have "glamours" too, but unlike those in the book, we can see through them. No one WANTS to see the bad in people, but seeing it can save you much pain in the end.
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES - Official Trailer
Magnus Bane
Magnus is the High Warlock of Brooklyn and helps Clary and her friends a lot throughout the book when they get in a jam.
Luke Garroway
Luke is Clary's "father figure" and teaches her many life lessons throughout the book and is personally my favorite character. He was a Shadowhunter and is now a werewolf leader of two packs. His real name is Lucian Graymark.
Jace Wayland
Jace is one of the main characters and falls for Clary only to find out that it is forbidden love. He is also known as the "hot shot" of all the young Shadowhunters in the book.
