Construction on the Gates Chili Professional Learning Center nearly complete 🛠️
The new Gates Chili Professional Learning Center (GCPLC) is nearing completion. This space at the high school is what many used to know as the band room and the final piece to our $68 million dollar capital project. This space will be a place for our faculty, staff and administration to continue to work, learn and grow. In addition, our Board of Education meetings will move to that space when it’s complete.
Welcome to our new board member! 👋
The Gates Chili Board of Education welcomes Katie Davis as its newest member! Davis was selected to complete the term of Andrea Hinchey Unson, who stepped down from the board in December.
Davis has been a member of the Gates Chili community for a total of 30 years. In the 11 years since her oldest daughter started kindergarten in the district, Davis has been passionate about staying engaged in the district. Her involvement includes serving on the District Improvement Team and the Paul Road School and Family Association (PRSFA). She also participated in the district’s superintendent search and was a member of the planning committee that assisted with the hybrid return to school.
Education Foundation seeking new directors 🌳
Looking for a different way to get involved in a Gates Chili school-related community? The Gates Chili Education Foundation is looking for new members to their Board of Directors!

Please send any inquiries about membership to the district clerk at email@example.com.
Two weeks until Budget Ambassadors deadline 📈
Gates Chili recognizes the importance of voter input in the budget development process. In an effort to gain this valuable feedback, the district is once again holding its Budget Ambassador Program for the 2023-24 school year budget.
Ambassadors will review the preliminary 2023-24 budget as developed by the administration within parameters established by the Board of Education and recommend to the BOE any modifications they would like to see.
Ambassadors will commit to serve on a committee which meets for three (3) two-and-a-half- (2.5) hour evening sessions with the superintendent and assistant superintendent for business on the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6p.m.
- Thursday, March 16 at 6 p.m.
- Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. (if a third session is needed)
