Mill Valley Weekly
October 14th, 2021
Hello Mill Valley Families,
Hillendale is almost complete, however we are waiting for them to put on the final touches before we switch to our new parent drop off and pick-up procedure. In the meantime, please continue to observe our current practices. We are hopeful that on Monday, October 25th we will no longer utilize our temporary road off of Racine.
Our next Mill Valley Weekly will highlight our new plan with detailed maps.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

Note from MNS Health Services
As we monitor COVID-19 cases at school and in the district, we have had an increase in parents/guardians opting into the Family Opt-in for COVID-19 Positive Case Notification program. At the elementary level we will now be sending out a notification to the parents/guardians of all of the students in the classroom rather than just the subset of parents that have opted into the Program. This notification does not mean that your student is a Close Contact. If any Close Contacts are identified they will receive a Quarantine Notice from MNS Health Services.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month!
At Mill Valley, we strive to create an atmosphere in our school that is safe and conducive to learning. Bullying is a problem for everybody and everybody needs to help work on it. One way is by accepting differences and not being mean. Being Kind is one of our Behavior Expectations and is actively taught throughout the building. We also have bully prevention lessons through our Second Step curriculum that teaches how to recognize bullying, report bullying, refuse bullying, and the power of the bystander in helping to stop bullying.
October 20th, Unity Day, have your child wear ORANGE to unite against bullying. Unity Day is a day to promote bullying prevention and promote kindness, acceptance and inclusion.
