April 17, 2018
Brought to you by the Shepard Elementary PTA
From our Principal
Dear Shepard Families,
We’ve had an exciting time at Shepard Elementary. After STAAR week, we ended up rescheduling our PTA Color Run and Family Picnic to Friday, May 11 to avoid last Friday’s scary weather. Our PTA Color Run fundraiser stays open until April 23, so please join in helping us to get to our $20,000 goal. We are so close!
Our teachers are already in the process of getting ready for next school year. Perhaps you have thoughts on the type of teacher that would best match your child’s personality for the 2018-19 school year. If you do, please send me an email at Kristin.bishop@pisd.edu and let me know the type of personality that you believe your child needs for next school year. Please tell me a little bit about your child and the grade level they are going into so that the teachers and I can create balanced classes for next school year. Your child’s current grade level teachers will be a big part of the process when creating classes for next school year. I am not taking requests for teachers by name, but I’m happy to hear about the type of teacher your child needs. I understand that MOST parents will not need to contact me about the type of teacher their child needs, but I want all parents to know that the teachers and I want hear what you have to say if you need to say it. Please email me by Thursday, April 26 if you need to. Thank you! It is always a pleasure partnering with the Shepard parents and guardians. These kids didn’t become awesome on their own. Y’all were their first teachers, and our partnership is important to me.
Sincerely,
Kristin Bishop
