Timberview Honors June 2
We will hold the Timberview Honors on June 2, the morning of the last day of school, so that our entire student body can see examples of above and beyond character and service that our staff and students have noticed and want to recognize.
In a community of over 1200 people, this ceremony recognizes a relatively small sampling of students and staff. Invitations will be mailed to the families of award recipients, but anyone in the TMS Family is welcome to attend.
We humbly and respectfully request that our families resist calling the campus to inquire about whether or not a student will receive an award or why a child received/did not receive an award. We have TONS of great kids at TMS, and many great kids will not receive a Timberview Honors award. We love all of our students and look forward to celebrating as a family some special characteristics and acts of service that stood out to us this year!

2016-17 Athletic Online Registration
Each year you will be required to complete athletic forms for Keller ISD. These forms are all completed online and require a parent and student electronic signature. If you have not completed the online registration process before please be sure to read through the instruction tab to ensure they are completed properly. Please follow the link below to complete your forms by May 31st , 2016.
Physical/Medical History Form
Along with the online registration forms, athletes are also required to provide a physical and medical history form. These forms are available on the registration site and must be printed out, filled out, and signed by a physician. Physicals may date back to January 1, 2016. The physical does not have to be completed by your primary physician, and most minute clinics or Care Now sites can complete these for you at a reasonable cost. You may turn completed physicals into the front office or your athlete can turn them in to their PE teacher upon their completion. Please be sure to sign the bottom of the medical history form, forms will not be accepted if they do not have a parent signature.
Girls Athletic Preview Days
UIL has granted us the opportunity to hold an athletic preview for the incoming 7th graders. This 3-day trial will allow students the opportunity to experience what athletics is all about prior to the upcoming school year. Students will be put through different types of sport specific practices and workouts during this three day period. Attendance is not mandatory and registration is not required. Students may attend one day, two days, or all three days (each day will be different.) However we MUST have a physical on file in order to allow participation. Dates and times are listed below:

Thursday, May 19, 2015 4:00-5:30 PM
Incoming 7th Grade Girls Athletic Parent Meeting
At the conclusion of the 3 day preview on Thursday, May 19th, we will hold our informational parent meeting to give you important information pertaining to athletics. Items that will be discussed include: Sports offered, athletic paperwork, expectations, and athletic gear.
If you are unable to attend the parent meeting any information discussed will be emailed out the following day. Again, attendance is not mandatory for parents or athletes, but if you have never had a child go through our athletic program it will help to answer some of the unknowns.

5th/6th Grade Meet the Teacher Night
· Tuesday, August 16, 2016: 4:30-6:30 PM
· Pick up schedules for next year
· Meet 5th and 6th grade team teachers and electives teachers
· Pick up schedules, agendas, t-shirts, supplies
7th /8th Optional Schedule Pickup
· Friday, August 19, 2016: 12:00- 4:00 PM
· All 5th-8th student schedules will also be available on Home Access Center at this time
· 5th/6th grade schedules can also be picked up if families weren’t able to attend the Meet the Teacher Night on 8/16
· Teachers will not be accessible, but families are welcome to walk the building and find classrooms
· Pick up schedules, agendas, t-shirts, supplies, sign up for locker
*Please remember, if you are not able to attend schedule pickup dates/ times, student schedules will be accessible through Home Access Center beginning Friday 8/19 at 12:00 PM. Any student schedules accessed before this time may not be correct.
7th/8th Grade Mini School
· Thursday, September 1, 2016: 6:00-730 PM
· Parents are invited to come and “walk” their student’s schedule and hear from each of their student’s teachers. First period begins promptly at 6:00 PM!

The Big Blue Bin- Don't forget about our Big Blue Bin! The weather is perfect for Spring Cleaning! If you find yourself cleaning out closets- please consider stuff the big blue bin behind the school- TMS receives money per pound! If it doesn't have a cord, is not sharp and is not an electronic- throw it in the bin!

PTA Board and Membership

By becoming a member of TMS PTA, you can become an important part of helping to ensure plans become a reality. You may come to TMS PTA general meeting where you can vote and voice your ideas that can benefit your children and the school. No more flyer to bring to the cashier! TMS PTA Rewards number is 90463, or you may select our organization from the list and click on confirm once you register your card online. Students entering 7th grade will need to have a current shot record on file in the nurse's office. If you are unsure if your student's record is current please email or call Jane Danielson at firstname.lastname@example.org, call 817-744-2620 or fax an updated record today to 817-744-2621. State law states that your student will not be allowed to start school in August if their record isn't up to date. Doctor's office sometimes run out or low on vaccine the closer we get to the start of school. So please schedule your appointment soon.
Students are not allowed to carry medications in their backpacks or on them throughout the school day. All medication requires a form to be completed and medication will be given in the nurse’s clinic. Students may carry an inhaler if the physician signs paperwork and approves the child capable of administering the medication. Again there are forms to be completed and turned into the nurse’s office. Please call Nurse Danielson with any questions or concerns at 817-744-2620.
