Learning to RISE...the Stuart way!
Message from Principal Velez
As challenging as the previous year was, there was a lot we all learn about each other and ourselves. I continue to be amazed at the resilience of our Raptors. Nobody will ever be able to say that this generation is not strong, resilient, passionate and creative. They are a unique breed. When faced with impossible challenges, the showed RISE and conquered their fears to continue to learn and grow. Our Raptors had every reason not to succeed. There was a lot of uncertainty surrounding their future. The fear of the unknown was debilitating at times. And yet, they figured out ways to stay strong, fight and continue to learn. I am proud to serve such an amazing group of youth. Our students inspire me every day to be a better leader, a better human. They have shown me what resilience looks like. They showed me what passion and love for learning looks like. I am truly honored to be able to lead them. I know our future is a bright one because they are getting ready to lead it.
I'm looking forward to a 2021 full of positive experiences and challenges. We learned so much last year that I know we are ready to take on whatever comes next. I am proud of the work our teachers have done day in and day out to support our Raptors. They also are a very special group of educators. Together, I know we will continue to RISE.
Thank you Stuart community!

Continue to Report COVID Positive Cases
As we continue with our COVID-19 mitigation efforts and preparation for our return to in-person learning on January 12, 2021, we are formally requesting that you continue to notify your school or department should you test positive for COVID-19 during remote learning and over Winter Break. This practice ensures that when we return, schools/departments are aware of any potential cohort safety concerns and allows in-person learning to continue without interruption. This can also prevent concerns if you develop any symptoms within 90 days of testing positive and avoid unnecessary time out of work quarantining. Please contact your site coordinator if you test positive or if you have been exposed to someone who has recently tested positive within 14 days of your return to work.
