Texas School Procedures Newsletter

Safety - Threat Inquiries
Safety is a growing concern within our state and nationally. Please be aware of the awesome resources available through Texas School Procedures. We would like to highlight our Section on Threat Inquiries in this newsletter as it is a part of the Governor of Texas recommendations. The purpose of walking through this process is to hopefully find students who might be at risk for hurting others or his/herself so that the district can put interventions in place to PREVENT a catastrophic event. After reviewing, please contact us if you have any questions.
Updates under Campus Operational
Updates in Training
We are updating and adding new training materials this school year. In order to honor October as Bully Prevention Month, we have updated our staff training presentation to give teachers an opportunity to view this through a more experiential lens than an information only lens.
Updates in our Nursing Section
Under the medication section: two previous documents have been combined into one, Doc.Request for Administration of Medication.
A new file drawer, Spinal Screening has been added and new documents are forthcoming.
Personnel Update
We had a district request a document for a teacher to ask for a second appraiser. Hope this form is helpful to your district as well.

Download Icon Function Requires an Update
Recent updates to the Google Chrome and Safari browsers have broken the download function when using the icon to the right of each document on the TxSP website. Until our programmers can fix this break or until Chrome and Safari create a new update to fix what was broken, there is a simple workaround. For those using Chrome and Safari browsers and experiencing an error message using the download icon, simply use the "View" option instead and then choose the "Download" option (down arrow graphic) within the browser function and you should have no problems downloading the document.
