Counselor's Corner
Vikings celebrated Red Ribbon Week this week. Each student signed a pledge to grow up safe, healthy, and drug free. Teachers will be sending their pledge home for you to discuss with your child. In addition to the paper pledge, all students signed the “Respect Yourself, Be Drug Free” banner at lunch showing their commitment. The banner is now up in the hall as a reminder of the week. Students also entered a drawing contest, “The Best Me, Drug Free” and the winners will be recognized on the morning announcements, a spot on KVLE school news, and an ice cream coupon to Sonic. Winners for each grade level are the following:
Kindergarten – Rilyn Royer
1st Grade – Lanee Arredondo
2nd Grade – Chuy Hildalgo
3rd Grade –Madi Kassell
4th Grade – Ivonne Saaveddra
Next week we will start our November Character Trait, Giving. Look for details of the classroom lesson in the next LVES Weekly.
