Announcing: We the Students Essay Contest - Due April 15

We the Students Essay Contest

Write a 500-800 word essay about this year's topic: How does an understanding of natural rights and respect build a free society?

First place cash prize is $7,500 and a scholarship to the 2020 Constitutional Academy in Washington DC. Runners up: (5) $1,500 cash prizes and (8) $500 cash prizes.

Deadline: April 15, 2022

Announcing: NW Minnesota Foundation Scholarship: Due April 15

The Mike Staples Memorial $1000 scholarship is for students from area schools (ISD #318 is one and only 7 other local schools are eligible) who are pursuing an education in Natural Resources OR Criminal Justice areas, Federal or state Conservation Officer, Park/Forest Rangers, Deputy Sheriff, MN BCA, State Patrol or other related careers.

The Emberg Scholarship Program is for seniors in NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin only! Must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Attend a vocational, technical or trade school within this area.

Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation - Due May 14

Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation Deadline is May 14

Two scholarships available:

One $1000 scholarship is available for any profession and one $750 scholarship for medical students. Must be a graduating senior with a verifiable relative child, grandchild, sibling, niece/nephew of a Vietnam era veteran. GPA 3.0, attending a college, university, or technical college in the US.

REPEAT: Be at STEM ALL-STAR Due March 21 at 3pm


The STEM All-Star Program is sponsored by the Range Engineering Council Board (REC). If you are selected as one of the top 2 students from GRHS, you will receive a STEM All-Star Jacket, a certificate and a chance to win a scholarship from the Range Engineering Council Board.

  • Minnesota Energy Resources is recruiting for student meter painters. Must be 18 yrs old, a high school graduate, enrolling to go to school in the fall, have a valid driver's license.

Announcing: Summer Counselor Position with ISD 318

ISD 318 is looking for energetic, enthusiastic camp counselors to assist classroom teachers and lead activities for youth ages 6-13 at Summer Learning Academy & Camp Discovery. Dates are June 20th-30th and July 11th-21st.
