Burglaries reported in Sunnyvale

The Sunnyvale Police Department has taken several reports in the past week of burglaries and attempted burglaries. They are actively investigating these and following up on leads. If you see anything suspicious, please call 911.


If you have security cameras, make sure they are operational. Leave on floodlights and lock your vehicles, garages, gates and doors.

Parks Master Plan Survey deadline extended; last day to complete survey is today!

If you have not had an opportunity to take the Parks Master Plan Survey, today is your last day to do so! The Parks Master Plan survey deadline was extended from Sept. 7 to Sept. 11.


Your input will guide Parks and Recreation planning efforts for the next five to ten years. Click the picture to the right to take the survey!

Public hearings for budget and tax rate

Public hearings for both the Town’s 2020/2021 Budget and Tax Rate will be held at the Council Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14. The Council will vote on both items at their meeting on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. (second reading).


The budget proposed by the Town Manager and Budget Committtee calls for a tax rate that is the same rate as the prior year: $0.4567.

Volunteers Needed

If you are interested in becoming more involved in the Town or in your local government, the Town of Sunnyvale is seeking volunteers to fill upcoming vacancies on several Boards and Commissions.


The purpose/duties required of each of these boards/commissions and an application can be found here.

Please submit all applications to Director of Administration Rachel Ramsey at 127 N. Collins Rd. or by email at rachel.ramsey@townofsunnyvale.org. All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2020.
