Introduction to Freezing Panes
The excel feature of freezing panes is very useful in the end when the spreadsheet has become to big to read on the regular screen. It can be very tiring scrolling through all the data and trying to compare information, that's when freeze panes comes in play. Excel gives opportunities to freeze or even split your work page. I'm here to explain freezing panes and show you how to do such a thing.
First
Select the row or rows that you want to freeze.
Second
Click the View tab on the Ribbon at the top of the page. You then select Freeze Panes command.
Third
The rows will be frozen in place which is indicated by the gray line. You can scroll down while continuing working on the spreadsheet while the rows you froze remain at the top.
