September 19, Youth Night at the Parkland Football Game CANCELED. Game has been postponed to September 20 at 1 PM – home Parkland game against Pocono Mountain West High School. Other athletic updates for the weekend appear here.

September 20, Parkland Emergency Preparedness Day, St. Luke’s West End Medical Center (site of old Expo Mart at 501 Cetronia Rd.), 11 AM - 4 PM. North Whitehall, South Whitehall, and Upper Macungie fire, police, and EMS will join together with equipment and displays, handouts from various vendors and demonstrations to make this a fun and educational event for families. Food, rides and games will be part of this FREE outdoor event.

September 21, Parkland HS Dance Team Zumbathon, PHS Gym, 1 PM. Hosted by the Dance Team, proceeds benefit the Women’s 5K Classic which supports breast cancer research. Tickets are $20 at the door. For more info, click here.

September 23, Parkland School Board Meeting, Administration Center, 7 PM. Sixty-seven new staff and administrators will be introduced to the School Board. The Board will also celebrate the signing of the Teacher's union contract with the union leadership team. An October program that promotes safe driving across the community will also be introduced by the high school driver's ed teacher Deb Andreoli.

September 25, Professional Development Day. ALL SCHOOLS CLOSED.

Fitness Day at Fogelsville

Fogelsville Elementary 3rd graders were pumped up to participate in “Fitness Day.” The students were engaged in several different activities on the athletic field and then replenished themselves with snacks and water. The goal for this event was to promote fitness and encourage students to enjoy daily physical activity.
