Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!

Back To School Night .... or week
Starting at 5:00pm on Thursday, September 10th, teachers will provide a short video to introduce themselves to you and your student in Canvas. A syllabus will also be posted for more information on the specific classes your student will be attending. Student schedules will be available on StudentVue/ParentVue and in Canvas. Below is a quick walkthrough of Canvas and the new course pages.
An email will be sent out to all families Thursday afternoon with a welcome video from Mr. Paige. Included will be more details on how to access the videos from teachers in Canvas.
Bell Schedule
At ACMA we keep our A/B schedule, with classes 1, 3, 5, 7 on Mondays and Thursdays and classes 2, 4, 6, 8 on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesdays are for asynchronous learning and connecting with students in non-academic ways.

9:50-11:00 Period 3 or 4
11:00-12:00 Lunch
12:00-1:10 Period 5 or 6
1:20-2:30 Period 7 or 8

On Wednesday, September 16th, ACMA will have our first drive-thru opportunity for families to come to campus and pick-up their miscellaneous items. The following items will be available for pick-up:
- A new ACMA t-shirt for EVERYONE! 7-12th graders (6th graders have received theirs)
- Student Success Kits - See description below
- We have green paper if you would like to make your own "Green Screen"
- Return any text books or library books from last year
- Teachers will let you know if they have any items for you to pickup.(ie. art supplies, clay, math worksheets, etc.)
- Locker contents from last year. You will be notified by email if you have items still here on campus.

Servicio de alimentos para llevar
El comienzo de la escuela está a la vuelta de la esquina y nuestro departamento de Servicios de Nutrición ha estado trabajando arduamente para desarrollar un plan para proporcionar alimentos durante el Aprendizaje a Distancia (CDL por sus siglas en inglés). Acabamos de recibir permisos del Departamento de Agricultura (USDA por sus siglas en inglés) y con estos ahora cualquier niño (de 1 a 18 años) podrá recoger alimentos gratuitos hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2020.
- A continuación, se muestra cómo se distribuirán los alimentos este otoño:
- Los padres o tutores pueden recoger los alimentos de los estudiantes que no estén presentes.
- La repartición de alimentos se realizará dos días a la semana: martes (2 días de comida) y jueves (3 días de comida) de 11 a.m. a 12:00 p.m.
- Los alimentos se empaquetarán con el desayuno y el almuerzo juntos.
- Todas las personas que recojan alimentos deben usar máscaras.
Los sitios escolares y las ubicaciones de las paradas de autobús se están finalizando y les comunicaremos cuales son pronto.
