Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader and one of the most important voices of the American Civil Rights Movement. He fought for civil rights for all citizens. He also made the March on Washington on August 28, 1963. The March on Washington was a massive protest for civil rights.
Who was MLK?
MLK (Martin Luther King Jr.) was a social activist in the civil rights movement and was a Baptist minister.
When was MLK born?
Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. Every year we get this day off because it is the day he was born and is now a federal holiday.
Who were MLK’s parents?
Martin Luther King Jr. parents were Martin Luther King Sr. And Alberta Williams king.
Did MLK have a spouse and or children?
Martin Luther King Jr.’s spouse was Coretta Scott and they had four children.
When did MLK die?
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated off his balcony in the Lorraine Hotel on April 4th, 1968. It was a sad day and to this day they've kept his room the same way he left it.
What we think---Bringing back non-clear water bottles by Chayton Godfrey and Gabby Vela
They should ban non-clear water bottles for teachers as well if they want to ban ours, because they have as much access to alcoholic beverages as we do. They are of age and can easily walk into the liquor store and buy it and we can not know if they are drinking their usual morning coffee or alcohol.
The students that drank the alcohol at school, didn't think about how it would effect the whole school and they probably learned their lesson.
