Our School Vision

Vision: North Metro Academy of Performing Arts will be the best charter school in the state of Georgia where students acquire the 21st century knowledge and skills ignited by the arts to be successful in high school and college.

Mission: NMAPA engages students in instruction that integrates academics and performing arts in ways that address the unique needs and interests of each student, while intentionally developing confidence, imagination and collaboration.

Fall Festival & Booth Rental

Please join us on Saturday, October 28th for our Fall Festival! There will be food, games, and prizes. The GCPS Book Mobile will be in attendance as well as other surprises. If you are interested in having a booth at the Fall Festival, please email me at Booth rentals are $50.00. This will be a great day of family fun.

Tacos and Talk

Please join us on Friday, September 29th at 6:00pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for a Town Hall Meeting in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. Our scholars are going to open this event with a dance performance. This event will feature a panel of guest speakers to include Chairman Charlotte Nash of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, Father Refugio of St. Patricks Catholic Church, Elected Officials and representatives from the Police Department, Fire and Emergency Services, and the local community.

Book Fair

Our Fall Book Fair begins on Monday, September 25th and will conclude on Friday, September 29th. The book fair will be open during Early Release. Please stop by the book fair in the media center this week. There is something for everyone there. Teachers will preview the book fair with scholars on Monday during the day.

Fall Picture Day is on October 18th. You will receive more information regarding this in the coming days.

Friday Jeans Day

On Friday, September 29th, we are raising money for Relay for Life and will allow scholars and staff members to make a donation of $5.00 and wear jeans. We are excited about this opportunity to raise money for our Relay for Life Team. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Parent Conferences

Early Release is scheduled for September 27th and 28th. Dismissal will begin at 11:45am on each day. Parent conferences will begin at 12:30pm on each day. Your scholar's teacher will send home invitations this week. Conferences can be via telephone or in person. All conferences must conclude by 6:00pm. Parents will not need to sign in at the front office on Wednesday and Thursday, however, each teacher will have a sign-in sheet in the classroom.

Scholar Spotlight

I want to thank our scholar of the week for being my guests on the morning announcements all week. Every week we will select two fifth or fourth grade students as our scholars of the week. This upcoming week we will identify two fifth grade students.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

On Friday, September 29th your scholar will come home with our fall fundraiser information for Yankee Candles. The fundraiser will begin on Monday, October 2nd and conclude on October 13th. Our school will receive 40% of all proceeds. We are so excited about this fundraiser, because patrons can place orders online as well and the product will be mailed directly to them.
