PICTURE RE-TAKE DAY IS OCTOBER 6TH!
How to order pictures:
- Families should go to mylifetouch.com.
- Enter the student's Portrait ID and Access code, which can be found on the top left of the Lifetouch envelope under student's name if they took pictures in September. Students should have received this yesterday in Advisory. If they can't find this, or do not have it but took their picture last month, guardians will need to create an account and use their student's ID number to look up the picture.
- If families are ordering pictures that will be taken this Thursday 10/6, they can do so at the website above by entering Event ID EVT88RBHQ.

FAFSA Completion Events at FHS (during Fall Conferences Dates)
Parents or Guardians of 12th Grade students: Fridley High School and the Get Ready Program will be hosting FAFSA Completion Events on Tuesday, October 18th from 4-7PM and Wednesday, October 19th from 7:15-11:15AM in the high school media center. This is a free opportunity for you to complete your student's 2023-2024 FAFSA. If you are interested in attending, please bring the following required documents and information to the FAFSA Completion Events:
2021 Tax Forms (1040 tax forms)
Social security numbers, birthdates, and personal emails of Parents/Guardians and 12th Grade student
2021 W-2 Forms for parents and student (if student completed taxes in 2021)
Estimate of current amount in savings, checking, and cash.

MHS Induction Ceremony
Fridley’s Minnesota Honor Society will have its induction ceremony for new members on Wednesday, October 26th at 7:00pm in the high school auditorium.
All juniors and seniors who meet the GPA requirement of 3.4 or above were invited to apply for membership. All applications were reviewed by a faculty reviewal committee based on students' community involvement for the 4 pillars of MHS: Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Character.
Fridley’s Minnesota Honor Society members take part in a variety of volunteer opportunities within the school and the Fridley community. MHS will host its first American Red Cross Blood Drive this fall on Friday, November 18th!
FHS Art Club is starting in October!

IMPORTANT: COMPLETION OF APPLICATION FOR EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS
The school district will be mailing households an Application for Educational Benefits in mid-August. If you do not receive one, they are available on the District Website at https://www.fridleyschools.org/about-us/departments/nutritional-services/meal-applications , can be completed online here (be sure to have your Parent Portal username and password), by contacting Kathy Backstrom at 763-502-5021, or your School Main Office. An Application for Educational Benefits must be completed every year. If you received free/reduced priced meals last year a new application must be completed for the 2022-23 year. If your income has changed due to job loss or change, please complete an application. These applications also help the district receive additional funding for support staff and teachers. As a household, you may also be eligible for discounted internet services and reduced metro transit fares. When completing the application, please include all people living in the household including infants or young children, college students, and older adults who may be living with you.
Transportation Request
For the 2022-23 school year all students eligible for transportation MUST request by this form: https://www.fridleyschools.org/-us/departments/transportation
If we do not receive a form, your student will not be assigned to a bus. This process is new this year due to the driver shortage. Please submit the form as soon as possible to ensure your student(s) has a bus stop assigned for the first day of school.
- Student who have requested transportation and are eligible will receive their bus schedule at student open house.
- There are no stops added to routes after August 19th. We can only add students to existing stops.
- Any new stop changes needed from August 19-Sept 9th will start Wednesday, September 21st. Parents will have to transport until notified by email of the change and bus schedule.
- Request for changes made September 10th - 16th will be implemented on Wednesday, September 28th. Parents will have to transport until notified by email of the change and schedule.
- New stop requested from Sept 10th - 16th will be implemented October 5th. Parents will have to transport until notified by email of the change and updated schedule.
